Criminal Defence Legal Aid and Family Legal Aid

At MVLLP we recognise that not all members of society are able to afford to pay for the legal services they need at times of great stress and difficulty, so we provide some of our services at zero or reduced cost.

We offer free expert advice and assistance to those that are eligible under available public funding, known as Legal Aid, in the areas of family law and criminal defence law, or criminal litigation as it’s also known.

Our solicitors treat all MVLLP clients with the same high levels of professionalism and respect whether they receive legal aid or not.

Language support

Additionally, if you require language support, many of our solicitors offer fluency in the main Indian languages of Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi.

Checking if you are eligible for Legal Aid

We can help to confirm if you are eligible for Legal Aid; just ask your MVLLP solicitor.

There is also a Legal Aid eligibility calculator on the Community Legal Aid advice website, www.cls.gov.uk, which you might find of use.
